Wonder if this is the one that was sold at auction at Duxford last year for about 30k all in, then was being sold for IIRC about 45k on various websites. That one was a 300 odd miler as well.

Its a very nice early car, no door guides etc. But its still "just" a DeLorean, almost certainly wanting things to get it re-commissioned properly, probably a water pump and attention to brakes, tyres, relays, etc, The problem is with these very low mileage cars, what do you do with it? Stick it a another private collection or museum, or use it?

Been there..done that....twice..one 4.5 miles, and the other 110 miles.

In fact I am going to photograph a very low mileage original RHD tomorrow. ( for the book) It has not been out of its garage for several years.

Thats why I think a properly looked after one, that has been used regularly and has the few normal upgrades, is probably a better, cheaper and more sensible purchase.

Just my opinion.

The link says "sold for £29,380".

You've found another original RHD that hasn't been out of the garage for years?

Do you have a count for how many original cars you haven't seen at this point? Not many I suspect Big Grin

Hi John, i think I have tracked down most of them.....and owned about half of them as you know!

The RHD subject will be one that Andy and I ( not Barrie) will definitely be writing for the book. So we will be looking for a few nice pictures of each car, as they will all be referred to individually. And also as many as possible of the post factory conversions and other LHD cars that never left the UK.

Hi Chris

is that the RHD i think it is.....the one the owner will not sell, but in the leaking garage?.

i did hear a sniff of a laid up RHD in staffordhsire (but not sure if the so called spotter was talking ****, and really was a Scirroco!)
he swears blind it had gullwing doors.

have you still got the Wales car...i always wanted that car but when i had funds he would not sell, and now dont have funds!
did Gerry Castle do the rhd post factory conversion around 85-86 or so?.

and has the fluted exhausts no gone as they were rusty.

Would love to see it and get a D fix sometime...i do intend on buying again when times improve..amd the wife has her new kitchen to keep her sweet!.

Hi Steve,

The leaking garage one is MGJ 126Y? ex AXI 1699,. No after I contacted the owner, he eventually had it taken to a local garage who got it running. He has resisted all my efforts to sell it. He is very wealthy and is content to have as a static toy. I don't want another Auto anyway, been there, done that.

The Staffordshire car was probably SPY 100, now Phill P's.

Yes still got vin 522, or SIJ 6559, I'm hoping to have it ready for the club do, but it will be nowhere finished, just a running rest project. I don't thick Jerry castle organised its RHD conversion, but he certainly supplied bits, rear lights etc.

The exhaust was totally missing when I bought it....a little length of rusty pile where the cat had been removed. As was the front facia.....gone !

You are welcome to come and see it at any time, but I am going on hols on Friday....for 14 days!!

Hi Chris

yes i was thinking of MGJ, shame it is left to rot somewhat rather than enjoyed.

yes 522 had 'fluted' exhausts when i say it, and was also missing its interior and front and rear fascias!

and he said he would let it go for £28 k or so!!

i might be a bit Delorean daft but not stupid!, i offered him around £15k or so, or a swop for my nearly complete LHD, as 522 always did need a rebuild.

the RHD supposedly seen, no definately was not spy 100 as i know its history, would like to see it and phil again sometime.

no he swears blind it was a Delorean as he reckons he had to look around the internet to see what it was worth.

he then became rather evasive!.

i did offer him a 'finders' fee of £1k if he could track it down and i could buy it.

but could never tie hm down.

was supposedley in a run down private garage on a farm, and i toured round and round looking for an signs or trail!.

This car has been sold to the Belgian DeLorean Service Center! It's probably gonna come up for sale again, but - according to the new owner - 'it's just too good to let go again' ...
