Fuel distributor ports - what does this one do?

Hi all,

As per the thread title really, what does this do and what happens if I remove it for cleaning / painting?

Ah, so that's the PPR. I was under the impression that it was accessed from underneath the unit somehow.

The bit about the shims is bollocks, they adjust primary pressure and are an M5 washer if memory serves (combined with the shims already in place you usually get a pretty good adjustment as you're usually increasing pressure!)
