American Speedfest 2013
#1
I don't know where to stick this, but this seems apt for the subject matter. (Feel free to move it if need be.) I was at Brands Hatch last weekend for the American Speedfest. There, they had a stand of cars from TV and films, and naturally, someone had their BTTF DeLorean there. I meant to speak to its owner, but he seemed a very popular guy and I didn't manage a word. Cry But of all the cars there (A-Team van, General Lee, Disney Pixar's Cars' Corvette and The King, Del Boy's Reliant Robin, etc.), the DeLorean to me appeared to be getting the most attention...

It's one that has been autographed!

A lot of memorabilia, which I would like to have a closer look at, had I been able to ask

Some of the other cars, that took part in the parade at the end of the day (I was sad that whoever's DeLorean this is had left by this point):

Plus, I loved this little touch above the headlight on the DeL. I suppose it was specially commisioned, and that I wouldn't be able to get my hands on one or two for myself???

Thanks - would love to hear of his experiences of the day!

And that Richard Petty replica Superbird wasn't the sole one there:

Plus, for a racing car, this amused me (from the yellow Corvette from the Disney Pixar film above):

Good ol' Brian. He really does keep the BTTF flag flying all over the place eh! Big Grin ...it's a pity he doesn't show more here.

The little BTTF badge was part of a badge sold in the gift shop at Universal Studios when they had the BTTF rides going.

There were quite a few similar ones. I have a small qty of them somewhere, but can't yet put my hands on them following our recent house move.

I will look them out in time to take them to the NEC.

I have just noticed a photo on my bedroom wall of a DeLorean at the National Motor Museum from a number of years ago (maybe 5-10 years ago?), and that too had Del Boy's yellow Reliant parked on its left... Has this happened often, examples of these two cars being seen parked together?!?!?!?

I think the one that was at the Cars of the Stars museum that used to be in Kendal had a
Del Boy car with it too.
