If you’ve ever rebuilt your aircon you would have found quite a bit of debris (mainly leaves) that slowly build up in the airbox as the intake has no mesh to stop this.
Air Intake improvement involves covering the hole below:-
I’ve sourced mesh and made the following subtle improvement.
I’ve enough left over to make a few more so for anyone that wants some I can cut it to size and ship it to the anywhere in the UK for £8 including postage and packaging. All you need is a few dabs of weatherproof adhesive / sealant (what you would use fitting new outer door seals would be ideal) along the edge nearest the windscreen as this is out of sight and more than enough to ensure it stays put.

nice one Chris, I'll have one please - I've got to take my scuttle trim off anyway next week as the
car is getting a deep clean ready to do a wedding next week, and the beech tree on our drive is
the messiest thing ever.
Can you PM me your Paypal details, and I'll 'gift' the money to you

Thanks for the interest
I've sold 3 and have enough mesh to make another 5.

Chris, these could be good sellers at the NEC - if you wanted to make a few sets/bring what you
have left to the NEC, we could sell them there for you

Hi Chris,
I can't speak for all the RHD cars but here's how mine left Wooler-Hodec:
The mesh you've sourced looks like a close match to what's fitted here.

...I can't seem to be able to remove the plastic grating that sits over this hole. (missing from Phils photo) I think i've got a case of spinning rivnuts again, but it feels like i'm going to break the grating by trying to remove the spinning rivnuts, so i've been forced to leave well enough alone for the time being. Anyone got any hints on the removal of this part without breaking it under these conditions?
Also, is it supposed to be in two halves, or is it that mine is just cracked down the middle?

The screws in that grille are self tappers, and are not screwed into rivnuts
They screws are probably just spinning in the holes.
Gently prise the grille whilst turning the screw.
It's supposed to be one piece, mine is broke in two as well!

Yes Lex's is broken neatly in two with a join that's invisible when it's on the car. I broke it by accident but realised the benefit as it's a sight easier to remove...
