RAF BF Airshow at East Kirkby, Lincs, Sat 15th Sept 2012
#1
Would this be of interest to anyone?

http://www.lincsaviation.co.uk/events/S ... r-2012.htm

We attended the location last year for their Battle of Britain day, but this promises to be more of a full on air
show with more going on during the day in addition to the amazing Lancaster taxy runs.

Here's some pics from last year:

Can I have a show of hands from anyone interested in attending, so that I can get in
touch with the organisers to reserve us a space.

many thanks,

Lincs Aviation have sent me a Club Application Form, so I'll send it off, and confirm
numbers nearer the time.

Yes, we will be supporting this event, especially as Phill's father worked on Lancaster Bomber's during WW2.

Shame I can't do this one this year, I'm working, it was very good last year though, so if anyone fancies it, it's well worth a day.

....this event is my last planned for the year. Next time I'll see you guys will be at the NEC. Just for preparation sake, what's required for attending this one? Booking, or just turn up and meet the gang?

I think i'll be in Solihull the night before, for the girlfriends birthday bash. So that's where i'll be travelling from, so it'll be some job for me to get there at all, never mind get there early in the morning. I'll have to just do my best. Anyone know, from last year, if there is a restriction on attendance time?

I have been emailed a PDF application form for this, entry fee is £6 payable in advance, and all
cars must be on site by 10am.

If you would like an application form, please PM me with your email address and I'll send it over to you.

I'll be popping over during the day, mainly just to see some of you guys and the cars. However, looks to be a really nice event anyway. Looking forward to it. Fingers crossed for some more good weather.

All, I've just submitted my application form via email to the email address on the form itself. I enquired at the same time about the £6.00 entrance payment. It is possible to pay this on arrival on the day, but you have to inform them that this is what you are doing so that a note of this can be left at the entrance gate for the personnel there on the day to collect from you upon your entering the airfield.

Is it worth filling out an application form even if I'm not bringing a delorean along, or is it best to just pay the usual adult fee to enter? I imagine the discounted rate is only available to those bringing their cars along for the public to view, and I can't see many people being interested in my Seat Leon, lol
