Thought id post up a "hello" topic.
been skating around the forum for a while now browsing and doing alot of visual research!
Been on the look out for a "project" delorean for a few months now, the price of them is a little too far out of my price range. So a nice one came up for sale needing work so i thought sod it im going for it.
I have my VW roots, been into Polo's since about 1999, owned many a G40 and still have one now, also help run http://www.clubg40.co.uk
Ive always wanted a delorean since i was a kid, my grandparents lived in Ireland and one came into the village and the bug started there! (i still have the pictures i demanded were taken at the time)
For work i run http://www.volkswagenstickers.co.uk, specialising in mostly retro vw stickers, i would not mind getting a few delorean stickers reproduced too. Hopefully something i can offer the club?
Excited at the prospect of the project, but need to clear out a few other projects.
Located in Huddersfield, W Yorkshire
Currently have a T3 Westfalia, T4 Transporter, Mk1 Golf Caddy G40 project, and my Polo G40 that will be up for sale soon to fund the delorean.
The project i am planning what to do, the vehicle has come with no engine or box or fuel tank fitted.
Now i am weighing up options of what to put in there, as i would ideally like something with a bit of a kick.
Im sure these questions get asked alot so i do apologise, but what are the best choices?
I will get some pics up soon and a progress thread

hi welcome to the forum and the DOC-UK.
When it comes to 'engines with kick' your best off chatting to
Martin G (stunned monkey on here).
Love the old photo btw, and what an unusual registration plate.
If you come across a pre-1973 campervan in need of attention, give us
a holler btw
Feel free to check out the events section, and if you want to get up close
and personal to the cars and chat all things DeLorean, the please come
along to a meet up, we'd love to see you and give you all the advice and
encouragement you want

If by Upper Denby you mean Denby Dale then yeah - about 4 miles up the road from me

Yes, that's the one, Upper Denby is above Denby Dale. Will have to give you a shout next time I'm up that way.

It would be great to hook up as i have loads of questions of a visual nature as i am yet to lay eyes on the delorean, off to pick it up on monday from southampton.
I have never seen a delorean in huddersfield in my years of living in huddersfield
