Door and hood alignment
#1
Hi all,

My drivers side door could use an adjustment to let it close as easily as the passenger side and bring it out slighty at the front so the black trim line meets flush.

Any easy tips on this, i have tried unscrewing and moving the door striker pins but cant get it sitting as good as i want the door to.

Also the bonnet sits a bit high beside the windscreen and above the front fenders. I notice that under the black plastic trim which runs along the inside of the trunk on the passenger side, there is more washers, about 5 or 6 on each bolt. Less on the other side.

What is the best way to get your bonnet sitting flush?

Thanks
Paul

No hard and fast rules I'm afraid. Lots of time and practice Smile

Often you have to think backwards. Rather than bring the door out, see if you can push the wing in any further..... that sort of thing

Any decent pics of this, would help to assess the problem.

The first two here are shots of the door, where it meets the front fender. The alignment is not to bad at the rear of the door, but at the front.

The next ones show how the bonnet sits, and the last shot shows the amount of washers used on the passenger side of the luggage space under the black trim piece.
