Spotted this DeLorean at a car show at the weekend, it is owned and displayed at the London Car Museum which is based close to Heathrow. They have re trimmed the interior in red! It is a Jun 81 car and was brought in from CA. Needs somebody work so gave them PJ Grady's contact info!

Chris Parnham has asked me to post these pictures up. Heres the message:

Quote: This is an original UK car, with its original Purple interior, never been on the road to my knowledge. ......a friend of Sir Stirling Moss, who told me about it when we met at the Belfast Sports car show in 2003. Photo’s by Dave Howarth.

hi

i think thats great.

love to see something rare and different.

i wonder what value the interior would add?, and the cars history.

was it a test bed and not meant to be sold to public?.

or to be used by a DMC exec?.

anyone know more?.

we have plenty of data on pilots and RHD, but very little on the dmc interior test cars/colours.

presumably they would have had a board with all the proposed colours, produced at meetings and then a couple of cars selected for trimming.

so red/purple or saddle brown or blue?, any others.

Regards

Steve
