Hi All,
I thought i'd introduce myself, ive just joined the club but have been viewing the forums for quite a long time now as ive been looking to buy a Delorean for a while. Ive recently saw one for sale in america (was on ebay), after talking with the owner and getting loads of pics and info, I bought it and it is now on its way over from Florida. It should arrive at Southampton at the beginning of June and I cant wait!!!
Its a 1981, black interior, manual. Exact spec I wanted. Vin 1128.
Its totally original and only had 2 owners from new, and from what ive seen looks in good condition.
I viewed one which was for sale in this country about september or so last year, but decided against it, and was looking at another that was for sale in Texas before that, about a year ago now. I think im glad Ive settled on this one though, just looking forward to it arriving now.
I also own a Lotus Carlton which ive had for about 4 years and restored over that time, I go to all the vauxhall shows with that, and a Ex-Police Vauxhall Senator which I really need to sell now just to make some space.
This looks like a great club, im looking forward to getting to some of the shows too!

Heres some pics of the Delorean.

Hi Phil,

Welcome! I'm relatively new here too (6 months) compared to some of the oldies...Big Grin

Is yours the car that went for $13k odd on eBay? If so I was watching that one too (out of interest, I don't fancy two of them right now Shock Mr Green ). If so looks very, very nice for the price - well done!

Looking forward to meeting you and the car at one of the meets!

Cheers

what a lovely car - and very close in Vins to RichH (his is 1274).

Glad to see another Vauxhall fan - shame you've got to sell the Senny tho -
I've always fancied one of those, gutted I havent got the pennies otherwise
I'd be making you an offer for it - is it a 3.0 24v manual in white perchance?

Anyway, welcome to the DOC mad house - and check out the events section - will
your car be here in time to come to Supercar Sunday at the end of June? If your
in the first 12 cars, you get in for free! Big Grin

Hi Phil
Welcome to the club.

Do you know The history of the car? Has it been in the east coast from new.? From the photos it looks like a early car, April or may 81. and in A1 condition which would have been on the second shipment to the east coast.

Well spotted Neil ... Its has the early 'skinny' ribs down the centre of the rear louvre....

Rather than the latter 'fatter' ones...
