new purchase
#1
Hi all

don't worry, i intend keeping my D, but to join her (well a few garages away), is my new purchase

i thought any car nuts here may be interested, as i have been after this car over a year after my search for RHD d's had not come up with anything.

so here she is a very rare car, and this one is unique!
http://s230.photobucket.com/albums/ee24 ... son%20SVR/

was the MG that that was used on the filming. they needed a car and Peter Stevens who designed the McClaren and SV, had his own car nearly ready, a prototype SVR so it has preproduction interior, seats etc, i think preproduction screen, and not yet sure about the engine (does not look quite the same as other SVR's)

total production i think about 64 cars., MG's last and of course in my opinion finest!

Regards

Steve

Yep, and that was followed by a few slow motion replays! Tongue

Hi

thanx all.

yes the one that attacked Jeremy Clarkson

if you type mg sv on youtube it has the vid of him driving my car

approx 400 bhp 5 litre. just driven 20 yards by me so far!!!.

thanx Phil, yes its took a long time. they only accepted bids and gave no idea what sort of money they were after.
i bought it from the receivers agents, the only owner is MG sport and racing.

this car is the end of an era an MG as we know it is no longer.

reminds me a fair bit of the DMC story, companies that were saveable but left to die. trying to sort a tracker, as the excess on it at the moment is £1500

Regards all

and see you at the NEC

Hi Glen

Photos were taken at the storage facility of the receivers agents.

they sell many liquidated items, and handled the whole rover sell off, at Longbridge.

i first got interested in SV's when i saw a prototype advertised on ebay a while back.

i also remember seeing one at the NEC a few years ago. list price about £82k

so never thought i would own one!

Hi

thankyou

silver/stainless steel is always a fantastic choice for cars!!!

now tryng to get the DMC style rear handbrake small pads to hold on for the mot!!. supposably self adjust so i can't tighten (what i think are stretched cables, a match being citroen xantia!!)

technology in some ways does not change!.
