This guy went all out and shot this video in 16mm film. The engine noise is a V8 from a sound effects cd rom or something similar, he said recording engine noise is difficult, I corrected him

Shoot in whatever film you want, it's still a nasty little compressed postage stamp once it's on Youtube. :(

Yeah, but the quality of the glass they used there makes all the difference in the world, compression or not.
Nice find, very nice.

I thought the film was excellent......most punters wouldn't know the sound wasn't genuine. ( any-way with a freeflow system its very close)

Exactly, if Stuart or Chris's exhaust systems are anything to go by!

Chris, let me know if you ever want to take one of your cars into the peaks and we'll do something similar with an even nicer camera...

How exciting
What gear are you using? I've got access to an
Aaton XTR every now and again, and the appropriate lenses; just been waiting for the right time of year to get it sorted out.

Imagine how good it would look if we had a full res version to watch instead! I can provide hosting even for very large files if anyone makes videos like these and wants to provide a higher quality alternative to Youtube.

Yowsers!
Nothing like that, purely video. Ive got a Sony HVR-A1E and a couple of bullet cams, loads of accessories and a Final Cut edit system, so I'm fairly well equipped. Id like to get a Sony Z1 fairly soon though.
