Paul, I've just read whats happened as I've been a bit vacant on the forum as late, but as with all the other members, my thoughts are with you and your wife and I wish you a full and speedy recovery. I can sympathise with the hospital stituation as well, not only was the grub not brillant but I couldn't master the bed pan thing. Just trying to raise a smile, but seriously wishing you all the very best and a speedy recovery!!!

Sorry to hear of your accident and hope you make a full and speedie recovery. I was hospitalised myself in November after a football facial injury and it isn't a nice place to be. No matter how hard they try there is no place like home.

Paul,
not sure what time I'll be discharged from hospital in Barnsley tomorrow,
but if we can we'll be there before 4pm to pop in and see how you're doing.
Give Phill a ring on his mobile tomorrow if there's any problems.
Seeya mate!

Paul,
sorry we didnt make it to see you - they'd pumped me full of morphine to
control the pain, and when Phill came to pick me up at 5.30pm I was still
out of it
Hope you're doing ok, look forward to seeing you soon hopefully

No probs claire. Ive been pumped with morphine for the past few days. And to top it off, they gave me DF118 this morning which they shouldnt have, so ive been well off my trolley today (Twittering Rich birds and the lot!)
Hope you're ok Claire. Get yourself better. Did the morphine help?

Hi Paul,
well, I seem to recall the morphine needle going in my catheter about 7 times
before the pain started to ease and I nodded off again.
I was first down to theatre at 8.45am, but they didnt discharge me till about
6.30pm cos I was so out of it - the nurses at Barnsley General Hospital are
fantastic though and always look after me really well - and the food's pretty good too!
Early indications seem to be though, that the procedure hasnt worked
Looks like I'll be needing permanent steering aids, a PAS conversion and
horror of horrors  an automatic gearbox conversion to Flopsy

OOOh Claire
Sorry to hear that. I hope you're not in too much pain now. I sympathize with you completely. It certainly a scary thought loosing a limb, or the use of a limb. I didnt realize you was in that much trouble. I hope the hospital get you sorted out. Let my know if/when you're going back in, and we'll pay you a visit instead
Well, i just came on the forum anyway, to let everyone know im back home now. We finally found some drugs that I like.
So im sat with my foot up, waiting for the guy from the chinese takeaway to arrive.
Thanks to everyone for your kind words.
Hope everything goes ok for you Claire.
