yeah i'm up for that! he he he
i stripped off more paint today, so now both doors are done, right wing and half the front left wing
so far damage is,
left door under mirror dented and 4 holes punched in the dent
right door A pillar dent 3 holes in dent, and the top edge of the door has been hammered in and 4 holes punched in.
bodyshops are suppost to get the dents out, then a skim of filler... but not this one :S looks like they used the haynes manual as a guide :S

Amazing work-rate fella!
The dents on the top of the door will be hardest to sort out I expect...

I'm sure Chris Nicholson would easily be able to fix he holes in your doors. He's a genius with stainless repairs.

That 'punch holes to make the filler stick' bodge job is criminal.

yeah its the top of the botch jobs ive ever seen :|
i'm pretty good at welding so the holes will be no problem, and some of the dents wont be too bad, but the passenger door roof section is well and truly fooked.
anyone got a door that has a good roof section but wrecked lower half? i could cut the roof section off and weld in a good one
also another hole found

top of drivers side rear window

oh well.

amazing work there Rob, what a credit to you this car will be when its done.
I've only got a knackered driver's door - full of dents and the top 'a pillar' is
twisted after my car broke free from the ramps one day in a single garage
and rolled down into the door frame with the door up (Martin G will remember
that day in 2003). I'm planning on turning the knackered door into a garden
feature at some point
I got a good S/H door from Dave Howarth back then, it wasn't massively expensive
either.
My NSF wing had a split in it, and Chris Nicholson fixed it by Tig welding in a new
piece of metal then grinding and brushing back, to look at it now you'd never know

outch, i bet you screamed when that happened! :S
the bottom of my door is totally mint, not one dent, its just the roof section, so if i can find one where the lower half has been wrecked, i can use the top half
