Project Cars @ BHCC
Nice car @ $29,500, However has some rot on the chassis around the engine cradle, unusually not as many pictures as normal! https://www.beverlyhillscarclub.com/1981...c-9373.htm

Mike at DMC Midwest had this car at his shop before BHCC put it up for sale,

He says:
“This car was at our shop just before shipping to BHCC and it is rough. Clutch slips badly. Dash has holes by speakers, seats and binnacle badly recovered. Rot on frame ect.”

DMC MW and BHCC have very different concepts of “rough”...

Yes, some folks description of condition varies wildly.

I see in one of the car mags, my latest car purchase was described as a 2 out of five. 1 being concourse and 5 being a project. 2 was described as being running and generally good but needing a little tiding up. (I paraphrase).

No way was mine a 2...it was definitely a 5!......Just my opinion or course......what do I know?

I still like the look of the BHCC car, but if I was looking for a car today..... I'd try and negotiate a deal of the nicely sorted car in Hull.

Project car @$16,750 don't think it will hang around long at that price. Described as requiring 'light' restoration! Though it looks to have a good chassis underneath: https://www.beverlyhillscarclub.com/1983...c-9473.htm

I agree Chris, a fair bit of work and expense needed, but a good prospect...nice spec.

Would you believe that has actually a "one lady owner" car with 220,000 miles and not the 20,000 implied ?

It must be one of the highest mileage cars around! Still looks a good project, assuming its been well maintained.

According to Rob Grady, he serviced it for many years before it moved to FL a couple of years ago

Rough maths says that's around 6,000 miles a year since 1982 - that's really lovely to know someone kept it and looked after it all that time.

It's surprising it ended up at BHCC. The owner obviously was familiar with PJ Grady so I am surprised it didn't end up there.

Depends where the owner ended up - "moving to florida" does have a secondary meaning...
