I'll have another scoot through ebay and google to see if I can find the outers

I'll have to install a new bulb and wire the inners up to give the side light function, though, won't I? I haven't taken them out yet to see what's behind as the rest of car is in bits across two rooms ATM and don't want to further over-strech myself (you know what I mean).

Audi, eh - any idea what model ?
