If you go to www.delorean.ie->homepage ->Technical section ->John Dore's Restoration, you will see the problems he encountered with sandblasting and chemical stripping.

I think it is a job that is a must as you will see where he removed plates on the box section to reveal the epoxy sitting in sheets inside and rust, while from the outside the frame looked fine in these parts.

There is also a section in the forum where he researched and compared the available methods of repair.

Interesting stuff..... well, if the lottery numbers or premium bonds ever
come up big time, Flopsy's chassis will be the next big job. Now that the
bodywork and interior are beautiful, I really want the rest of the car to look
the part too Smile
