Just seen this post. The Renault box is pretty fussy about the oil. It used to specify Castrol TAF-X. This has since been replaced by Castrol Syntrans Transaxle.
I changed mine and it made a massive improvement in shifting. Second gear used to be tricky but now is as smooth as silk.

I've used Comma stuff in the past. No complaints from me. Just keep filling the box until the stuff literally starts spilling out the fill hole on the side (about the 3.7ltr mark). Just in case this tip is useful and i'm not trying to teach your grandmother (i don't know people's knowledge or experience base), then ALWAYS make sure you can release the filler hole plug BEFORE undoing the drain hole plug!
