We've recently been in touch with one of the engineers that worked on the Legend single turbo and twin turbo development project, back in 1980.
Here's a link to the pictures he provided us to share with the wider DeLorean community...

hi Darren
fantastic history.
do we know if all the legend engines produced exist or destroyed?
and are there any out there? sitting in a workshop or a kit.
i did talk to an ex lotus chap (omnicron i think) who did say that Lotus were also developing a twin turbo for JD.
not sure how true this is.

There was talk in the factory of cars being tested for turbo, that was late 81 or early 82 I think.
Could have being a turning point for all of us at the factory, if the turbo cars were put into Production.
Very nice photos. Thank him from me for sharing these photos.

these are great - thanks.
Am I right in thinking that Legend were still working on the turbo project up until DMC went bust? It didn't just stop, did it?
I don't want to offend anyone when I say this, but considering that Legend had a pilot car in 1980 how come lets say by April 82 there were no production cars being made with this engine/kit? Money?
How far were they off producing the twin T engine?
thanks again!
Dave.
