Did you get Maidstone Galvanising to powder coat it aswell or did that go out to another firm to do ?

Are you having all the other bits like the wishbones powdered aswell ?

Not heard of Maidstone Galvanising but the galvanising and powder coating were both done at the same place. I think that's best since the galvanising process is a little different if you apply a powder coat afterwards, and it probably works out cheaper too.

Only bits to be galved/coated were the trailing arms, fuel tank plate and chassis. Most other stuff is being left alone except for bolts, and the bits I've outright replaced. (And the engine...)

How about painting the other bits like the wishbones.

With such a lovely chassis a lick of paint on them would make it look fantastic and also make the bits last longer. Your putting alot of money into the car so it's only adding to your investment

But realistically, and I know its hard ro estimate this, but how long and how difficult would a complete chassis change take...... ??

In hours labour, and in level of difficulty / specialist tools needed.

You're right, it would look good. I'm intending to have the rear suspension apart again some time next year (when I have some more money) to replace the bushes with Ed's ones... perhaps I can look at doing up the control arms then.

I didn't do the work myself so I couldn't tell you exactly what's involved, but it's not something you'd want to do at home, that's for sure! (Unless you happen to live in a biggish workshop.)

Chassis looks great- the grey powdercoating really finishes it off and looks original. I'm sure you're looking forward to getting it back together!
