The Great British Car Journey in Derbyshire are holding their
annual DeLorean Day on August 28th.
Details here:

I won't be able to attend as I'll be on holiday, but if you can
post on this thread if you want to go along, and either myself or
possibly Rich Hanlon, who's local to the event, can keep the organisers
updated on numbers.

Just a couple in the end unfortunately as it seemed to fall badly with people's holidays, work patterns etc. Shame as I suspect they were hoping for more, no criticism of anyone individually of course just bad timing. Oliver and Richard Usher from GBCJ were very appreciative which was nice.
This is one of the reasons I'd like to instigate a Club whatsapp so we can quickly and easily get round everybody as not all get on forums so much these days.
Got loads of interest though and handed out quite a few club leaflets and gave my number out to several people for future events. They did a roaring trade on Rides and thr curtor was very pleased to see and chat to other owners and get some advice and contacts on some aspects.

i definitely Second the idea of a club whatsapp for sorting these type of events

I was never going to make it unfortunately, otherwise I’d have said I’d be there. Crap weather most of the summer has meant trying to get some outdoor jobs done on the few remaining nice weekends we might have before winter weather kicks in. My thoughts were with those of you who went, but unfortunately I spent most of the day fixing my garage door, so lex never even saw herself off the driveway all weekend.
Garage door is fixed though! So some good news!

Thanks for attending Richard, and yes, I agree, some sort of Events WhatsApp group
is a good idea, and I think definitely needs to be raised at the AGM this year - anything
like this has to be agreed and 'above board' vis a vis GDPR rules, etc - also I've no idea
how to set one up on such a large scale, so if there is someone who knows of such things
then this is something to take forwards.

If a group is established - say two or three - then Whatsapp facilitates a system whereby anyone can be invited to it, and its up to the individual whether they accept or reject the invitation.
We could set something up in Malvern between us and see how that goes.

Thanks- we could give it a go. Using the Invitation system means nobody in the group gets to see a new invitee's name or number, until that person consents to join, so its up to the individual.
Anyway, enough for tonight!!
