DMC Houston (www.delorean.com) have been selling 'new' cars for a few years now. They're made from New Old Stock (NOS) so are 30 years old but new with the exception of parts that perish which are replaced with improved modern parts. So in production, yes - but only a handful a year if that and at considerable cost!

The Solstice project I believe is off the cards now. Can;t recall where I read that but it was some time ago.
