*** Show Report & Pics ***
Dear All,
well, what a weekend!!
All I can say is, it was brilliant, and the Saturday 'Night Glow' and Fireworks were spectacular.
Big thanks go to our friends in the VODC for laying on the barbeque and feeding us - they had
a very impressive turn out with nearly 20 various Vauxhalls and Opels on display - including one
guy with a rare Cavalier Convertible who'd driven all the way down from Scotland just to join in
the fun - a 700 mile round trip in a car he'd only owned for 3 weeks!
James, who we met at Supercar Sunday joined us on the Saturday with his De that he's had for
7 years, and RichH was soon at work doing a few little jobs on it - you cant keep a good
techie down! lol James also introduced us to a very interesting chap who came to the event
to show us a small selection of his collection of his memorabilia from his time at DMC. The stuff this
guy has got is a gold mine of information, and work permitting, he has confirmed that he will
also come to Chirk next year and talk to us and show us all the stuff he accumulated during
his time at DMC - I took a few photos of the bits he had, but it really is the tip of the iceberg,
and the factory notes and stuff he has really has to be seen to be beleived - and after listening
to this guy, there is no way I am ever having a stainless chassis on my car!
Anyways, here's some pics from the weekend, I'll let them do the talking!
Next years event, which will be even bigger then this years according to the organisers, is
on 4-6 June 2010, and as in previous years, will be totally free to attend with free onsite
camping for anyone who wants to stay over.

And all the way from Bonnie Scotland just for this event!
Then James came back later with another of his toys - a 1990 Mexican built Beetle
Night Glow in full swing
We'd also like to thank James and Polly for their hospitality on Sunday afternoon - and I was
mega impressed with the life size R2D2 in the hallway - plus the Tardis in the computer room,
and all the rest of the fab collection of utterly random film stuff and model cars
