Listen very carefully to this sound file of the Plutonium Gauges being turn on, and tell if its not the same as kitt from knight rider when he does a turbo boost? Not the boost it self but when he is in mid flight.

plus in an episode of series four of K-R kitt drives passed the court house half built, while the cinema in the back ground is just the frame of the building.
