I have the same system (but much louder 8) ).... And I am planning to wrap my manifolds with thermal insulation (to keep the engine bay cooler) but it means I have to take them off the car again A tip for you tracey, check if the wires near the alternator and the starter motor is touching/ or very close to the new manifold. If so, reposition them or wrap them with thermal insulation tapes. - tracey steele - 04 Oct 2007 thanks for the tip yes they are a tad closer and the exhaust does get a lot hotter than the old one, Outatime Wrote:Sweet! - Chris Williams - 04 Oct 2007 Thanks, it does look really good in there, Just wish I had the money One day perhaps! Chris - bozzzydmc - 04 Oct 2007 Chris Williams Wrote:Thanks, it does look really good in there, Just wish I had the money Well thats just the one thing that stops me having one ...... - TheJoyofSix - 05 Oct 2007 Do you feel it has made much of a difference to the performance? There seems to be a general consenus that the PRV's 'log' type exhaust manifold is a major restriction and that gains of up to 30bhp can be found simply by changing the manifold for one with equal length runners like your new one. - Outatime - 06 Oct 2007 TheJoyofSix Wrote:Do you feel it has made much of a difference to the performance? To be honest, you won't notice much of a difference on normal driving conditions. The real difference between the stock and this is at the peak of the rev range.... Mostly... it's for the sound, stainless steel construction and looks. P.S. however, this exhaust seems to have cured my D's stalling problem.... :? - Tourettes Tony - 06 Oct 2007 well im stuck with a mild steel system due to the kit on mine, but when money allows im going to get chris at pj grady to make a duplicate of what i have, TT - tracey steele - 06 Oct 2007 yes the performance does seem a lot better, has a bit more go in him too  TheJoyofSix Wrote:Do you feel it has made much of a difference to the performance? |
