D needed for film in London, Sep 23rd - Matt Clark - 11 Sep 2007 Hi guys Our production company is in the middle of shooting our first film, Tommy The Tungsten Robot which is a fake documentary/comedy about the residents of a London suburb and how they cope with living with a complete pain in the arse of a robot. We've shot 2 weekends in central London so far, and have been lucky enough to have access to film in Center Point and Tott. Court Road, so we're trying to push our luck a bit further and wangle a DeLorean into a scene. We are a good, professional crew, so you don't have to worry about us setting fire to your car accidentally (or similar). So far as I understand it, the actor will not drive the car (if that changes, it will be by arrangement with the owner of the D but I can't see that it would need to). The owner will simply drive the car into the shot, and then the actor will take over in the parked vehicle, and it'll all be sorted out in the edit. The date and time is Sun Sep 23rd, 9AM - 2PM, in the Chiswick area. We can pay petrol money (so obviously it would be ideal if it were a local car), and provide catering and some degree of conversation. Copies of the film when it's finished will be provided, naturally. I've never seen the remote control doors in action before, they're bloody brill. What kind of HDV workflow are you using and what are you cutting on? Ive found (with Final Cut Pro) using Apple Intermediate Codec with HDV is FAR better if you need to colour correct or grade the finished cut, HDV breaks up under a normal HDV timeline after CC - mostly because of the compression. Being a film company im sure you know this, but yeah, just interested in your post setup. Cheers!
