How is the fuel tank held in place? - Craig Churchill - 30 Sep 2006 Hi If i remove the big metal triangle coverin the fuel tank will the tank fall on my head? how is the tank held in? many thanks Craig - Pilot25dmc - 30 Sep 2006 Yeah sort of! Once you take the metal triangle off there is only about 6 foam pads on the tank holding it in the V. I would drain the tank first if your planning to do this and remove the pump and the fuel gauge sender. - stunned_monkey - 30 Sep 2006 they're held up by the filler neck and associated pipework clipped to the top. An empty tank will stay in place. Even a full tank held in with those foam pads and 25 years can still be a sod to take out on purpose! |
