Car Show, Stow on the Wold. 9th July 2022 - Chris Williams - 31 Mar 2022 Subject: Stow Motor Show Dear Sir/Madam, I write on behalf of Stow-on-the-Wold Motor Club to invite you and your members to our Motor Show on Saturday 9 July 2022 at The Queen Elizabeth II Field Lower Swell Road (B4068) Stow on the Wold Gloucestershire GL54 1LD. Please circulate the details below to your members. The show is set in the beautiful Cotswolds countryside and is a fantastic drive-out venue for your club or individual members. Stow-on-the-Wold Motor Show raised over £3000 for local Charities at our last show in 2018 and aim to do even better this year. Entry to the show is free to the public and if you would like to exhibit your vehicle the entry cost is £5.00 per vehicle to the QEII Cricket field showground. Please note that field access and exit is up and down a slight slope. This is not a problem for historic tractors, motorbikes and most cars. Prestigious vehicles with extremely low ground clearance can reserve one of the limited number of parking spaces in the Stow Square Salon Privé for £15.00. Bookings for this are on a first come, first served basis. The field opens at 10:00 for vehicle exhibitors. All vehicles must be on site by 11:30 on Saturday 9th July. Enquiries about the Stow Square Salon Privé: telephone 01451 830123or 0778 6260306. Another option for your Owners Club is to set up a stall to promote your club and encourage new members. Stall / pitch holders will find our pricing extremely reasonable. Please see our website http://www.stowmotorshow.co.uk for further details and to book your vehicle or stall via Eventbright. Numbers are limited so please book soon. Looking forward to meeting you all at the show. Come for free if you're contributing nothing which makes the day for everyone else, or if you wish to be one of those that makes the day for everyone else, you must pay.....oh and if you can't or will not park on inadequate field land, then we have something else suitable where we'll let you pay triple for the privilege. At a time of austerity and potential recession looming where people are struggling to afford to fill their car with fuel for the essential journey's etc. Would it be unsurprising if very few cars, or even worse, none at all turned up for display on the day due to this pricing policy? RE: Car Show, Stow on the Wold. 9th July 2022 - Chris P - 01 Apr 2022 Thats one of the worst "invitation packages" ive ever seen........Needless to say, I wont be attending. I stopped going to a lot of them for the very reason (plus being really busy) The above is probably one of the worst charge for exhibiting and nothing for visiting. Chris |
