You know, I renewed my insurance last week. Before i committed, I phoned them up to enquire why i seemed to be getting charged more than others are clearly being charged for essentially the same thing under similar circumstances, except for the fact i'm older than other said parties and have been an owner for longer. The chap seemed to infer that it was possibly due to me having an 81 example, and that these were more prized after than the later 82/83 ones. Rubbish... the ones built in '82 were, after a year of production, put together better than early '81's
Plus there's less 82/83 DeLoreans out there making them more scarce... but that's the first time i've heard of it affecting insurance premiums!

Remember that 16723 is really 11723, so Jan 82 still seems right. Probably means that 11477 is before the 18th?
