Project car @$24,750 Not a bad looking (supposed running car) project car, however I would check the condition of the chassis first before buying: http://www.beverlyhillscarclub.com/1982 ... c-4878.htm

The Chassis looks pretty rough to me Chris  I wouldn't buy it at that price. Cry

that would be the 12th this year alone

Re: Project Cars @ BHCC - Chris P - 28 Oct 2015

Horrible exhaust system and sun damage to interior. Chassis looks OK , Auto, …I think $20K would be nearer the mark. Just my opinion

Re: Project Cars @ BHCC - 88mph - 28 Oct 2015

Where they keep finding them?
How do they keep finding these project cars? Are they scowling Graig's list and adding 5k?

Re: Project Cars @ BHCC - Chris Williams - 29 Oct 2015

And another Turbo one: http://www.beverlyhillscarclub.com/1981 ... c-4952.htm

Re: Project Cars @ BHCC - Chris P - 29 Oct 2015

A real project car one this…not many redeeming features…..well too expensive in my opinion Sad……about half that would seem fair.

Re: Project Cars @ BHCC - Dangermouse - 29 Oct 2015

well, that looks a bit of a nightmare to be honest.

"light cosmetics" Shock

Re: Project Cars @ BHCC - Horsebox - 30 Oct 2015

It looks awful doesn't it. Plenty of bits missing and whats left looks like its been vandalised. I guess it would be satisfying to straighten it out though if money was no object. The way the bulkhead connector cover has just been plonked there makes you wonder what's hiding behind it!

The $24750 one is a steal by comparison!

Re: Project Cars @ BHCC - Chris Williams - 30 Oct 2015

Busy this week, and yet another: http://www.beverlyhillscarclub.com/1981 ... c-4950.htm interesting the last two seem to have almost identical fuelling bits missing
Chris

Re: Project Cars @ BHCC - Chris P - 30 Oct 2015

Words (nearly) fail me on this one…if the baked interior and exterior weren't bad enough, i'b be very worried about the engine on this one. As Chris points out, not only has the metering head been removed but it looks as though it and the air cleaner has been off for many years…in a very wet environment. Who can tell were the rain has got into and around that engine?

The stainless panels look very good. But personally I wouldn't take this one on for free…..let alone $17K!

Re: Project Cars @ BHCC - 88mph - 30 Oct 2015

I'd have it for free, but not if I had to keep it! !
Chris is right though, that engine has been stored somewhere wet, for a long time.
Worst yet?

Re: Project Cars @ BHCC - Dangermouse - 30 Oct 2015

No, the one with the home made frame was by far the worst

http://www.beverlyhillscarclub.com/1981 ... c-3470.htm

I suspect these last two or three came from the same "collection" - someone with a batch of them that he was hoarding.

Re: Project Cars @ BHCC - Chris P - 30 Oct 2015

Ah yes…that was the one minus Chassis frame, Engine and G/box!

I've just looked at that, I thought #2292 was rough when I got her, but that takes the biscuit!!
