Atari: Game Over - Dan Willis - 02 Feb 2015
I guess there will be a fair amount of us on here that remembers E.T and the Atari story that surrounds it. I, myself, am a HUGE retro-gaming fan and so have been awaiting this film for some time.
Why am I mentioning it here? It's not to do with the time line being somewhat familiar, but because I was quite surprised that our very own DeLorean is in.. well, most of the film!

Hey, cheers for the heads-up on this one Dan.
After TRYING to sign up for xbox video and then access this film for weeks, unsuccessfully, I finally managed to watch it tonight on YouTube instead. Really interesting watch.
The best I could take away from watching this film, in relation to the scenes with the DeLorean, at least, was that I was enormously pleased to see that the chap had his sunvisors the correct way round...just like me. :wink:

Chris, your statement confuses me.
My sunvisors are normally folded back when not in use.
When folder back, the cotton felt can be seen, which matches the rest of the headliner.
On top of this, due to the curved nature of the shape of each of the visors, they each hug the contoured shaping of the roof liner, making it nice and neat.
The only issue one has, Is that if the sunvisors were to be left folded forward, underneath the windscreen, then the colouring of the cotton felt could be bleached over time. Since I don't do this, the aesthetics of the matching attributes as stated above, leave a nicer feel and look on the eye.
I.e. Anyone having their sunvisors in a configuration contrary to my particular arrangement can be considered incorrect. :lol:

Oh you don't fold then forwards? That's dumb. They work better that way, which is why they changed them in production...

No, no. It's not dumb. But also, due to the way I have my sunvisors mounted and the curved shape of them, if I did choose to keep them folded forward, then my visors would follow the curved shape of the windscreen too! Not curve in the opposite sense, meaning they want to hit it down the edges/corners in a clashing sense. No, mine would follow the contour of the glass in a complentary way instead. Much more pleasing on the eye.

Electrifying sun visor debate aside, I found it quite interesting. I don't think I could find anything of less importance to assign value to than finding a buried ET game cache but still, I enjoyed it.
I was especially amused when the programmer jumped into his DeLorean and the first thing I was thinking I is "it won't start" and sure enough it didn't! I think they had a moment that was cut out during that scene.
