Personally i have one of these:-

I have the same too. Small compact easy to fit and powerful enough.

I also use a halfords calcium 094 battery (trade card 8) ). If you put some wood in the original base it fits in the area nice.

Sorting the basics now cuts out many problems later.
Using jump leads lends to spiking electronics.

Goto a Renault Dealer and ask for one from a Renault Alpine Atmo or A610. There 140 amp and are pretty good units, only £160 quid too
