Idle mixture hole? - SteveyP - 02 Apr 2014 Am I missing something here? Like a rubber stopper or something that covers the idle mixture hole? How does this compare to other people's? Would appreciate the advice here. Steve Re: Idle mixture hole? - Rich H - 02 Apr 2014 That hole should be blocked, otherwise unmetered air will enter the manifold, which will screw up your mixture. Not by a lot, but it does make a notable difference. I have seen many things used including chopped down golf tees, the end of a silicone cartridge (that used to be mine) and a suitably sized bolt. There is a pretty rubber stopper with a hoop on the end available from Houston PLUG, REMOVEABLE 102392A: http://store.delorean.com/p-6399-plug-removeable.aspx Re: Idle mixture hole? - SteveyP - 02 Apr 2014 Thanks, I did think that was the case, just wanted a second opinion to be sure. Steve Re: Idle mixture hole? - MikeWard - 03 Apr 2014 Steve, I have one of these plugs on the shelf. If you need one drop me a PM. Re: Idle mixture hole? - SteveyP - 03 Apr 2014 Hi Mike Aahh no, already bought one from Ed. Thanks for the offer though. Steve Re: Idle mixture hole? - MikeWard - 04 Apr 2014 No worries Steve |
