Removing old waxes and polish prior to painting - JamesRGUK - 07 Jan 2014 Hi all, I'm repainting my fascias in the spring, and will also be repainting the black parts of the bumpers as well. After years of applying trim wax etc... to the faded black parts of the bumpers what's the best thing to remove old wax and polishes from the plastic surface? Any tips welcome. Many thanks James Re: Removing old waxes and polish prior to painting - RobScott - 29 Apr 2014 wet and dry sand paper, plenty of water, with a little washing up liquid Re: Removing old waxes and polish prior to painting - JamesRGUK - 29 Apr 2014 RobScott Wrote:wet and dry sand paper, plenty of water, with a little washing up liquid Thanks Rob, That was my default approach.
