Alternator equivalence - Rich Hanlon - 23 Aug 2006 Just a theoretical question (maybe...) Does anybody know if the alternator is interchangeable with the Volvo/ Renault units from the equivalent PRV engines? I don't need one at present, but I'm thinking that if, for example I happened to know of a decent used one going spare, would it be worth me having it, even if it were as a standby unit just in case? Or are they compeletly different in terms of fit, terminal connections, output etc etc. Thanks all, - NickT - 15 Sep 2006 i used to have a paris-rhone one on my car originally rated at 95 amps. tourettes tony has this now so ask him for a cross reference. i have got one of those special t auto high current jobbies on. nickt. - stunned_monkey - 15 Sep 2006 (salesman's hat on) We do a direct replacement for £159 which is normally a £360 unit, made by Valeo and 110A capable and a direct install for anyone replacing a ducellier (same plug). Easy to adapt to a Motorola type. - Tourettes Tony - 15 Sep 2006 [quote="NickT"]i used to have a paris-rhone one on my car originally rated at 95 amps. tourettes tony has this now so ask him for a cross reference.
