Valve Adjustments When Using Alpine GTA Camshafts - Yianni - 11 Jan 2013 Hi All, I'm having trouble adjusting valves with new Alpine cams. Is there a different procedure for these camshafts or am I overlooking another problem with new timing chains? I have installed them twice, but still have a problem adjusting the valves. On some valves, adjustment is all the way up, but valve spring is not relieved (still compressed). I would appreciate any help anyone can provide. Yianni Re: Valve Adjustments When Using Alpine GTA Camshafts - stunned_monkey - 11 Jan 2013 Hi Yanni, the procedure is the same as for DeLorean cams. Get the engine to TDC #1 firing stroke and adjust Inlet 1 2 4 Exhaust 1 3 6 The turn the engine 360 so #1 is again at TDC and its valves are "on the rock" then adjust Inlet 3 5 6 Exhaust 2 4 5 |
