Windscreen re-bonded pics - NickT - 24 Feb 2007 I got my windscreen rebonded today and it looks superb. I thought I'd share some pics of the job: (Camera phone though) I also sorted out half the garage too. Looking nice and bright now I've painted it bright white. NickT. - steve.s - 25 Feb 2007 hi out of interest, how did they cut near to the dash. cheese wire, or knife? mine is ready to come out - NickT - 25 Feb 2007 He used both. He put a large piece of aluminium on top of the dash to protect it where he was cutting it. He used a knife where the trim was close to the screen. He spent 2 hours doing the job but he did take care and did it thoroughly. NickT. - Tourettes Tony - 25 Feb 2007 Well nick, going by the second pic, you gotta hand it to him  TT - bozzzydmc - 25 Feb 2007 Should have left it out for that open air feeling ! Good job there Nick and very useful contact. By the way your windscreen header and side trims are all refinished now, final coat of lacquer is just drying out now - NickT - 25 Feb 2007 Cheers Mike, don't forget to finish painting my chassis too ! Seriously I can't wait to get it back together again. NickT. |
