Griffins Head Papplewick Notts - 1st & 3rd Wednesdays 6.00pm - Guinney1971 - 07 May 2012

The twice monthly evening car meets at this popular venue in Nottinghamshire
have started up again, next meet is Wednesday 16th May, 6pm.

Papplewick is not far from Hucknall, and about 15 minutes from J27 of the M1.

All sorts of vehicles attend this event, with cars ranging from vintage Humber's to
a new Ferrari GTO (complete with £1000 tax disc!!)

Here's some photos of previous meets to whet your appetite:

lol, everytime I look at that pic I feel slightly inclined to engage 'smug mode' - but
then again, if you can afford £300k for a car, you aint gonna baulk at £1k to tax it...

...at the end of the day. Something's wrong. Is the footprint, and emissions of a Ferrari REALLY that much more than a "normal" car's in order to justify the "cost" to drive it on the public highways!?

I think NOT! I bet you that Ferrari is cleaner than a lot of the other vehicles you see driving around our streets, and ultimately get stuck behind, being gassed by the thick black pollutants being kicked out the back end! ...and that vehicles road tax will be a matter of £200-£300.

We are ALL being taken for a ride by the man, but being told to drive ourselves.
