Engine to use for a D for everyday use? - BELFAST BOY #1458 - 05 Aug 2008 I would go for BMW 335D engine, and seriously uprate the brakes ![]() - Rottbott - 06 Aug 2008 I'm very happy with my turbo PRV. Much easier to do since it works with the existing transaxle. The stock brakes work great (if they are in good/new condition) with stainless hoses, redstuff pads and decent fluid. I also have a 50/50 master cylinder on mine but I'm not sure how much difference that makes. There is only so much grip you can get out of the small front tyres anyway. - Guinney1971 - 06 Aug 2008 I'd bung a nice torquey older diesel engine in and run it on cooking oil! ![]() - Tourettes Tony - 06 Aug 2008 i think we may all have to sucumb to that in the end claire  either that or cut a hole in the floor TT - BELFAST BOY #1458 - 06 Aug 2008 true Rob, but if i was to use a D every Day I would maybe use non stock wheels, or the bigger dutch ones (16&17") By the way there is a great thunder and lightning storm outside, might have to go and take a cruise down Oxted High street  I need to harness the power.!!! ![]() - Dan6457 - 06 Aug 2008 Theres loads of lightning here to. I don't know if its 1.21GW though. |
