Appointment Of Web Editor - bozzzydmc - 20 Nov 2006

Further to the discussions held at the October AGM, I am pleased to announce the appointment of Tristan Carroll as our new 'Website Editor'.

I would like to formally thank Tris for his commitment to this post and the imminent major revamp of the main club website.

Tris can be contacted via private message /email from his 'member listing' under 'TristanC' or click the email link below from the main website

http://www.deloreans.co.uk/contacts/contacts.html

I also wish to thank Tris along with NickT for spending many many hours backing up and relocating this forum to its new 'place' this weekend. Not a simply task as you can imagine, but seamlessly done and now running better than ever before. It is gratefully appreciated for all the late nights and early (3.00am) mornings spent on this.

Thanks again Guys

Great seamless update. I guess it would have taken even longer to migrate if the Lycos reliability issue had come up later on as there would have been even more posts etc to move over. Fingers crossed your hard work won't need to be repeated.

Congratulations on the new post Tristan. Good luck with acquiring a photo of Rich for the 'Technical' contact in club contacts...

- TristanC - 20 Nov 2006

Thanks for the kind words Mike and Chris.

Without NickT though, it wouldn't have been sorted so quickly.....he did all the hard work!

It feels great to be able to do something for the club.

We are now on a reliable hosting provider for the forum and website, so downtime "should" be a thing of the past (fingers crossed!!).

As Mike said, please feel free to contact me via the suggested paths should you need to.

If you have any pics of Rich that we can use, please feel free to send 'em through !! Wink

Thanks all

Tris

Rich seems to escape most photo opportunities... but not this one as per Glen's website http://www.timetalks.co.uk/

More amusing captions please...

Richard, unless you have a different picture, this one may well end up on the club contacts page

- bozzzydmc - 20 Nov 2006

Not Rich ...but an amusing caption all the same Wink

I wonder what was going through the mind of Chris at that precise moment?

lol  I've got some classic shots of Monsieur le Rich in various poses (and the obligatory Rich Grin), including one of him working on Flopsy's engine at Ripon last year - although its probably not suitable for public viewing due to what Mike Green was doing behind him!! lol

I don't think that photo needs a caption, I think it needs a sound-effect.
