Flopsy's was supposedly rebuilt in 2004, but its getting worse and worse again, it makes a hell of a row and the needle is showing about 10volts when I'm driving - I think it should be at 13 - is that right Nick?

About that yes.

Hey Claire Big Grin

Wow!...just wow!!

Flopsy looks absolutely stunning, Chris and Darren have excelled themselves once again, she's certainly come a long way from when I first saw her at the NEC in 2003 (I think). Smile

Alex and I are so chuffed for you, you really deserve it considering what you've had to go through.

Enjoy her to the max! Big Grin

Take care

I am jealous of Flospy....

hi Clair

car does look great.

i dropped some parts at pjgradys and saw her there....like it so much so that i have asked Chirs to cost out sorting my fascias and other black going greying parts!.

what i like was that they have sorted the black part of the bumpers, and they definately do not look painted. i was not sure on having it done till now!.

so one my MOT is sorted, i'll be going maybe for some 'cosmetics'.

Chris and Darren are looking after VIN 1621 at the moment for me!!!.

Great guys there and deserve all our support and promotion.

- Guinney1971 - 29 Jan 2008

Hi Steve,

I remember looking round #1621 on Saturday, and I just know that
you will not be disappointed with the quality of Chris and Darren's work -
you will be totally gobsmacked when you get your car back Big Grin

Cheers everyone. To say I am totally made up with Grady's work on the
car, and your positive reactions to it would be a bit of an understatement

i agree i have known Chris and darren for a few years now and i can honestly say hand on heart these guys are straight up and honest, the workshop is clean fully insured and i would have no problems with them working on my car.
cheers TT Smile

Very belated message as ive been a bit 'icky for a couple of weeks

Well done Claire !

Great to see your car looking sooooo good!!!!

she is beautiful claire.

Very nice, Claire. Not quite "Flopsy" any more though, is she?

When's the next event she'll be at?

lol - she's been known as Flopsy tho for over 5 years, so I think the name
has stuck Dan

Dunno about next event tbh, I've cashed the tax disc back in, and I'm wont
be driving for a few more weeks yet as I'm getting over my shoulder
operation at the moment. I'll probably tax her again May/June time once
show season starts properly. In the meantime, she's tucked up in the
garage - I'll make sure though that I start her up regularly, plus there's
still the running problems to sort out and a few other little jobs that I want
to do, so I wont be totally neglecting her.

At the moment though, we're concentrating on getting my Cavalier TD up
and running, as when I do start driving again, I will be using that (on 100%
veggie oil, rather then running the Astra which was costing me £100 a month
in Petrol Shock )

Cheers,

Other than the "start her regularly" point, fair enough... but if she's staying put for 4/5 or even 6 months you'd do better to just maintain the battery and leave the engine standing - you'll do far more damage idling her otherwise.

Well, this year, Goodwood FOS is the Friday and Billing runs through to Sunday - so I'm at both of those (one big car weekend!) so I hope we can arrange to meet there. I'll give you a spin in the Monaro if you like? Literally on the grass! Big Grin

Going to attempt the Lotus thing... when I have time to look in to it! (Moving house.. messy job)

PM me with your number and I'll do the same Wink

Oh - those pics make me consider, thinking about, wanting to buy, but won't-because-I-shouldn't, another DeLorean Wink

- Guinney1971 - 07 Feb 2008

lol, good point about the starting up - the battery is knackered unfortunately,
so I guess she'll just be staying put for abit Sad

We're doing the Saturday and Sunday at Billing - would love a spin in the
Monaro!! Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin We'll be with the Vauxhall Opel Drivers Club Smile

Been wanting to go to Goodwood for a couple of years now, but havent
been able to afford to go unfortunately - it is quite an expensive weekend Sad

Cheers,

- Dan Willis - 07 Feb 2008

I've been every year for... donkies. I went on the Saturday (FOS) last year and, while very good, it was expensive. This year I'm doing the Friday due to Billing. I'll be there both days (Billing) so we'll meet up and have a drinky or 7 (I don't drink so that'll be 1 and I'll be unconcious).

Hopefully I'll see you before then anyway!
