What has perplexed me since I was a kid was those rear deck props coming through the 3/4 glass on that car.

Question : I know that 'BAK 2 IT' is VIN#15768, but do you have the VIN from the BTTF conversion in the 1990 article?

Fascinating story, thanks.
I’m assuming that the Daily Mirror prize car was in fact 15768 and it was the second car (VIN ??) that Andy Hobbs converted?
And the car on the first page is 15768 after restoration? Looks fantastic btw.
Was 15768 originally registered with the BAK 21T plate, and that’s how it came to you?
I read, in the DOC, that the converted car was essentially an engineless prop? Correct? And that it went to Keswick like that, presumably unregistered? Which would imply that the listing for “Stock 108” above is a little misleading?

The plates were (as I understand it) swapped around for the photo shoot, I have the letters from the Daily Mirror and the winner disputing the fact they 'implied' the prize was a BTTF replica when it was infact a stock DeLorean.
