I do the wheel alignment on my cars by kicking the tyres ![]() The auto "specialist" would sniff the oil to see if it has a burnt smell to it. The burnt smell is indicative of worn friction material. This and the dark cloudy look of the oil. I would give the autobox an oil change and see what happens.
