Hi
You will be surprised how much money getting a project car sorted can cost.
the rule of thumb in the US is buy a 10k car and spend 10k
or buy a 20k car, both about the same!.
for instance mine was a project, non runner, even the wheels alone were about £300 plus tires (expensive). calipers £200 ish (all 6!) plus discs all round + pads. + master cylinder+flexible pipes +wheel bearings So already upto £7-800 just to roll and stop!
it soon builds up but you do enjoy getting another car on the road!.
and ideally you do plenty of the work yourself.
