A guy at work got something through saying he has doing 31 in a 30 zone !!
He wrote back and said he would be contesting it, year later he has not heard a thing....

there was no disputing that i was doing 63mph because the copper had to jump out the way otherwise i would of hit him .wished i had!!

I've been caught twice in 18 1/2 years (so far, touch wood), first time, in 1990, only been driving for 10 months, and the copper tried to do me for 65 in a 40 limit - I was in a beaten up Mini 850 with 4 passengers - yeah right!! The copper who pulled me over didnt even see me 'speeding', a copper on foot had seen me, estimated my speed, then radiod ahead to a patrol car. I still got done, 3 points and £28 fine back then....
In 1998 (I think), a momentary lapse of concentration (running late as had to stop at mums on way to work and therefore took a different route), again cost me 3 points, and this time £40 - doing 40 in a 30 - I tried to plead innocence (I'd only got the car the night before), but they wernt having it.
Obviously, on a pubic forum, it would be unwise for any of us to admit or incinuate any breaches of the speed limit on the public highway that have so far escaped the attention of the Traffic Police..... :wink:
