Soecial Offer from DMC Ltd (advert)
Posted by: stunned_monkey - 14 Dec 2006, 21:58 - Forum: 1 - Engine - No Replies

Dan and I have decided to have a little clear out of some stock and have the following product to wet your appetite.

Engine bay fuel hose set £120.

As used on Stuart's People's Choice winning Stage II engine at Eurofest, and on the Explodaview car (among others!)

Full set of 13 engine bay hoses including banjo bolts and copper washers

- OEM hoses are prone to splitting (happened to me and was the motivation behind developing these hoses in the first place)
- 200Bar capable shiny black thermoplastic hose that forms to shape with the heat from the engine
- individually bagged and marked
- NOS hoses would cost over $600 per set
- Compared to the popular Stainless braided hoses currently retailing at $325
- Looks a lot more "original", and better too (in our opinion!)
- Unlike with the Stainless hoses, we DO NOT require your old hoses back so we can re-use the ends. All our fittings are brand new.

See our front page at www.delorean.co.uk

Thanks for reading

  New Exhaust system
Posted by: deloreand - 14 Dec 2006, 20:44 - Forum: 1 - Engine - Replies (9)

Hi Group.

I like to show you the new exhaust system whe make.
It is 100% stainless and fit on the origenal brakets, and the sound is very nice.
And no it is not so loud as the other uk system, and it has the normal stailess finisch. I hope to have in the next weeks time to put up a sound sample.

  Exhaust tips

Hi all,

I am looking to enhance the back end of my car by disguising the 'pea shooter' exhaust tips with something 'beefier' looking.

Any tips?

  Removing the water pump pulley.
Posted by: Barson - 12 Dec 2006, 19:40 - Forum: 1 - Engine - Replies (23)

hello.

I'm going to replace my water pump (making a horrible noise). I have the intake manifold off anyway, so i thought it was a good time to do. Smile

Does anyone have any experience of removing the pulley from their pump? I have the press on one.

I've read some archived posts from DMCUK Martin (on DMCnews) about removing the back of the pump and then unbolting it from within the pump then using a press to remove the pulley.

I'm just after some more ideas if anyone has any. cheers!

Martin's post.

  Possible sale of frame
Posted by: dmcnorway - 12 Dec 2006, 15:08 - Forum: 8 - Frame / Body / Interior - Replies (3)

I'm considering selling my original frame due to upgrading to a stainless frame.

The frame is in very good condition and has only minor surface rust.

Would be an ideal candidate for sink galvanising or keep it the way it is.

Open to offers.

Pick-up only.

2hrs from Stavanger (ferry port/UK).
