DOC-UK subs |

Hi all,
a few years ago at the AGM, it was agreed that subs would go up to £27.50 due to ever increasing postage charges.
Many people did change their standing orders/Paypal payments to reflect this, but we still have a number of members
paying the old (UK) rate of £25.00.
If you get 5 mins, can you just check your online payments, and ensure that they show the correct amount please.
Ta muchly

Its that time of year everyone where I start badgering for photo submissions for
the Club calendar.
I know its been an odd year with virtually no car shows, but hopefully some of you
have been out with your car and your camera.
I've had some brilliant pics after a request on the Club Facebook page, but I could always
use a few more to give some variety.
Please email your pictures (as hi res as possible) to treasurer@deloreans.co.uk
I'm hoping to get everything finalised by the end of September at the latest.

Hi, my name is Steve and have just joined the Owners Club and as of yesterday evening completed the purchase of my Delorean and it’s journey from the US should start over the next few days. I’m sure I’ll be reaching out to the forum over the next few months, so I’ll thank you all in advance now! :-)

It’s getting exciting now, just had the email from the shippers to complete all the following forms ahead of my project car arriving in a weeks time!
I know only then the fun will start!
Please see below documentation required in order for us to clear the vehicle through UK customs; -
- C384 Form - Importation of a Private Motor vehicle for a recent purchase. If this is to be imported to a VAT / EORI Registered Business, please let us know asap.
- Historical Vehicle Declaration – Allowing us to clear at the historical rate of V.A.T @ 5%.
- Declaration of Personal Import.
- Individual Authorisation to declare goods to Tariff Heading 9705000090
- Please confirm the US charges/insurance/oceanfreight. This has to be included on the customs entry.

Hi Everyone,
I hope you've all healthy & safe.
I have had a call from my friends at Brand Events (who organise carfest) the lovely lady who sorts out the vehicle & club displays is trying to put together a "Celebration of Car Clubs" and is looking at holding an event at Bicester Heritage over the weekend 18-20th September
For those who haven't been to Bicester, its an old RAF base which has the majority of buildings occupied by businesses specialising in Classic Car restoration & services, including the Heritage Academy which actively trains & promotes kids wanting to learn traditional automotive skills (and courses for Adults too) The site has many Aircraft hangers that have been converted to classic car storage. The stuff in there is just AMAZING (last time I saw a fellas collection of F40 cars into double figures, with delivery miles on them, plus lots of awesome exotica & famous race cars in storage)
For the ladies, Bicester has an amazing shopping village nearby.
This is just a tentative Post to see who would be interested in coming along, maybe one day or two, to make a nice Delorean display?
What do you think guys?

NEC 2020, Cancelled. AGM Notification Active |

It seems despite all the things going on that the organizers seem to think (and are making plans) for this event to go ahead, there have been many emails about how and the precautions around it and they seem confident that the event will be allowed to go ahead.
So on the back of this I would like to ask for volunteers to supply cars (assuming we are offered a stand) for the long weekend.
As well as the normal manning of the stand etc etc.
We will also hold the mandatory AGM over this weekend as well so please accept this as the mandatory notification of this.

DeLorean Wanted - Closing in on the 33 year old dream |

Hi all. As I mentioned in my introduction thread I am closer to purchasing my own DeLorean than I ever have been before, expecting the funds to be available very soon. Thus completing a dream I've had of owning one for 33 years!
But I'd really value some advice from you guys, I have been looking around and have my eye on a couple. As I'd really like to have one decided on prior so when the money is there I can sort it straight away (providing it didn't sell in the meantime).
Unfortunately I'm mechanically inept so I'd be looking for one with all the major issues sorted already, so a good day to day runner without big problems that requires minimum maintenance (and lining up a friendly classics friendly garage for any other work).
I don't have a preference on year or bonnet style, black or grey, but I do want a manual. Is there anything perhaps becoming available that is not advertised publicly at the moment?
I know what I'm looking for, a non-project will take me to the upper £30k bracket but I'm expecting this to not be a problem financially.
So I've obviously seen the £42k one currently listed for sale here on the club (VIN 2677). What would be an objective assessment of this car? Good price for a good runner with 66k on the clock? Anything left on it to fix or replace mechanically?
This one has also caught my eye https://deloreanforsale.weebly.com/history.html / https://www.classiccarsforsale.co.uk/del...tv95008337 (with very low mileage). Same questions, what would be left to do and any obvious pitfalls that I'd have to be booking in to my local garage for?
Any other advice or tips that I need to take into consideration when looking for a good runner?
Self-professed Delorean newbie here, any help and guidance would be greatly appreciated.
