Right Hand Dashboard Knee Pad Spare? |

Hello!
Slowly working my way through various bits of Bessie and slightly upgrading where possible.. but in all cases, if I change something, making sure I can return to 'original' where possible!
With that in mind, I'd like to take off my right hand (passenger) dashboard 'knee pad'. It's got some horrid discolouration and I'd also like to do things like mount other items to it (ie: phone holder). But of course I don't necessarily want to drill holes in the original part!
So..
anyone got a spare they would be willing to sell to me?
I can always get my current one re-covered to solve the discolouration problem, or if someone has a one in a better condition, then problem solved..
Even better, if someone has one in more-or-less intact but otherwise terrible condition, then great, I can monkey around with it with a clear conscience!
Long story short, anyone got a spare passenger knee pad I may buy off them?
Sorry, I do drone on..
Cheers!
80sthrowback.. ;-)
ps: oh yes, my interior is black, but that need not be a deal-breaker, obvs!

Hey Folks,
So i need to recharge my aircon before the summer and have been told the only options are R134 and RS24. I'm told RS24 is a straight swap for the original R12 whereas R134 is slightly different. From a quick look around it seems a lot of people are using R134 so i just wondered if anyone out there has used RS24 and if so what's your experience? If RS24 is a straight swap, why isnt everyone using it?
thanks!

Intermittent no crank |

I've got an intermittent no start-no crank situation. I say intermittent, but it's becoming regular.
I turn the key, dash lights come on, "click" but no crank. Sometimes the fuel pump doesn't prime either. It starts after a few attempts, cycling on and off. Sometimes it will suddenly start if I just hold the key in the crank position and wait for several seconds. Not sure if it's a red herring, but the tachometer sometimes gives false readings for a while after start up. Only seems to happen following the no-crank situation.
The battery is in a good state of charge and I gave the terminals a once over with wire wool, but no improvement. At this point my thinking is a switch/relay of some description, bad ground, or the starter itself (in that order). I'm still not very familiar with DeLoreans though, so inputs gratefully received.

Who can service? |

Hello, I am looking to send my car somewhere for an "annual service" (fluids, filters, general check over, not idling perfectly, not charging perfectly, last serviced 2 years ago and done about 2,000 miles since). I have a basic technical understanding but not confident doing myself. I know garages that would 'have a go' but I'd rather send it to a specialist who will do it right, especially a k-jetronic seems to trip people up. I have used Chris Nicholson in the past... he's good, would use him again, but he's super-busy at the moment so looking for alternatives. Car is located near Reading, UK, but happy to have it trailered 2-3 hours away.
Any other recommendations?
Thank you in advance

New Tyres |

Hi Guys
As I'm still very much a newbee as my car has not even arrived yet I'm asking questions and I guess this is a difficult topic.
Finding a missmatched size set of 4 tyres same make and tread pattern and something which has a half decent fuel (although not to important) rating and wet weather grip (much more important).
No doubt easy in the US but i'm finding it more difficult in the UK.
So question is do any of you guy's alter the profile or tyre size to get a matched pair or does anyone alter there profile and tyres size to get a better ride / handling?
Any input would be apreciated as I start to get to grips with my DeLorean knowledge base
Cheers
